This 2 day workshop is based on the wonderful laundry basket seen in Jenny Crisp's book 'Willow'. Many of you have asked for this workshop and so now I've booked it in. The photo above is taken from her book and shows this lovely shape. This is a super design built on a square Catalan base, and gradually becoming round as the basket gains height. Finished with a full border and leather handles, so plenty of lovely techniques to learn and enjoy. Due to its height I would recommend this basket workshop to those who have made baskets already, as managing the weaving on a tall basket takes a bit of experience. Also, as we will be working with 5 and 6ft willows over two days, it will require regular hand strength and hands that are happy to be used. Please get in touch if unsure. The two day workshop is £180 to book plus around £20 for willow and leather payable at the time and depending on what you wish leather -wise. Art house provides us with a comfortable creative environment with facilities to make hot drinks and warm up food. Please bring something for yourself for lunch each day.
