The Welsh Cyntell
These traditional hand crafted Welsh baskets are ideal for both home and garden use. Made from carefully selected 2- and 3-year-old willows, they are exceptionally strong and durable. These chunky willows are carefully selected and harvested from my own willow bed in Devon in winter and set in shape on a former until dry. They are then hand finished with a drawknife until the perfect skeleton of the basket is produced. The basket can then be densely woven in the traditional pattern with beautiful long slender willows. A true labour of love and a delight to celebrate such a fabulous traditional basket.
